![]() You know the feeling - it's Thursday afternoon and you're almost finished with work. You and your work besties are debating going out to unwind and relax, after all, it's Friday eve! Ditch the local happy hours, filled with nothing but empty calories and large bar tabs, and discover a different type of after work outing - Happy Hour Bellydance! Join me in Oviedo at Zen Space Wellness studio for my new Happy Hour Bellydance class every Thursday from 5:30-6:15PM! After a full day of sitting at your desk at work, the last thing you want to do is anything complicated or more work. While refining my Happy Hour Bellydance class, I talked to some of the women in my life with typical work schedules, and they all had the same thoughts about what THEY want. After work, sometimes they go to the gym to get through a fast workout before the rush of responsibilities at home. But going to the gym can be boring! On the flip side, they don't want to learn hard technique or complicated dance steps. They just want to relax and unwind, which often ends up in front of the tv or scrolling through the phone. Listening to their needs and wants helped me reimagine my Happy Hour Bellydance format - a 45 minute fitness class on your way home from work, where you can move, laugh, and do something good for you! I incorporate basic bellydance movements into exercise and cardio steps, but the focus isn't on perfection. Whether you have two left feet or love to dance, this class is all about turning off our brains, and using the joy of moving and laughing to release stress and getting a little exercise at the end of your work day.
